Finally, a new blog post after some long, almost-irritating inactivity. There are a lot of things my mind needs to process right now but I think I need to update this blog I hid six feet under. Hello, world. I am officially a bachelor’s degree holder–and I got it from the country’s premiere state university. And yes, this brag sounds better when you have successfully endured four years of academic torture. College graduation is okay. When I describe something with “okay”, it just means I can’t get a (better) term to describe it. Seriously, it was fun, solemn. The solemnity peaked when my college peers and I sung UP Naming Mahal with our left arms doing that famous revolutionary choreography. Most of us sung it without enough conviction (first time much?) but I believe most of us sung it as if we’re carrying the nation’s burdens (read: plural). That felt good–realizing that you have the ability to help the country feels good.

With my proud parents

My parents told me that I look good with a Barong Tagalog (Chinese collar-ed!) and a Sablay. Then I immediately asked them a question: Do I also look good with my medal? Uhuh, I think am proud of it. Academics-wise, I’m really not a studious person but I take careful consideration about my grades. Honestly, my GWA was almost a stranger to the honors list though I was expecting that I’ll be receiving a Latin honor. Complacency and Confidence almost meant the same thing for me. Fortunately, my good habits vis-a-vis my bad habits gave me the recognition I think I deserve. The Good and The Bad should work harmoniously. So, thank you, Bad Habits, for giving me wake-up calls, for being there whenever I’m down and for being so easy-to-get whenever I need to take a break. Above all, thank you, Bad Habits, for letting me know who my true friends are and for letting me experience Life. Special thanks goes to my Badass Friends who tolerated my Bad Habits. Or, of course, the Bad Habits themselves!

The Gang

If I were to define my College Life, bulk of it would consist of the wonderful memories I had with you. For a detailed memory log, you can visit Rish’s blog entry about The Gang: Gangsta Lovin’. Ace, Ren, Jorron, Rish and Nikki, you are my college life. Procrastinating, Bitching, Over-drinking, Oversleeping, Tardiness, Addiction to a lot of things (the legal ones, k), Flirting, Boyfriend-ing and Girlfriend-ing are just some of our bad habits. And I’ll continue to be a Bad Boy--if you’ll be my company. I will truly miss all of you.

Back to reality: Oops, I’m officially unemployed. Okay, I think the Labor Code has a different definition but wtf, I am still unemployed in its truest sense. I started looking for a decent job and I started to undergo several application levels. I hope to get a good one. Hello, Life After School. Goodbye, Academics.

Academics meets Recycle Bin
