Grades and Cakes

The grades are out for second semester, (My second year in my course, SY 2007-2008)

Organizational Communication 101 (Introduction to OrCom)- 2.25
Humanities I (Literary Appreciation)- 1.75
Humanities II (Art, Man and Society)- 1.75
Social Sciences II (Western Political Thought)- 1.25
Natural Science IV (Environmental Geology)- 1.25
(Physical Education II (Philippine Games)- 1.50)
Grade Weighted Average: 1.65

Waaa.. OrCom is such a destructive factor for the aesthetic value of my class cards. LOL. I could’ve got a 2.00 if I had the opportunity to avail of the 0.25 incentive if (double ifs!) I had a perfect attendance. I just had one absent and that is due to the unfinished Humanities I project (I, Rish, Jorron and Ren are together making it in Alva. Actually, we did not sleep the night before attempting to finish it). Oh well, this is life. For Humanities I (Literary Appreciation), I think I deserve the grade. I do not recite that often (0.5 times per meeting?) and my papers do not suit her (who her?) objective criteria. But nevertheless, I still value my papers. LOL. In exams and quizzes, I think I done good (average to above average maybe). The final exam’s results for this subject was announced but I think believe that I got a good rating from it. For Humanities II, I think Ma’am Bien betrayed me! LOL. I have done good in all her, erm, class activities. Except perhaps the written long exams which I got a rating of an ugly 2.00. Oh well. For Social Sciences II, yipee! Good job Alps! In his two long exams, I have answered all the questions including the bonus questions (TRIVIA: The number of points available in the bonus section is greater than the main exam itself). For Natural Sciences IV, hear hear! I did well on exams and, most especially, research defense! Our group got the highest grade in the research project.

Comments from Friends

Alvina hated her grade in Social Sciences II (1.50) because it is her first time she got a grade lower than 1.25 from any professor from the Department of Social Sciences. But nevertheless, she is quite happy in her grade in Humanities I (1.25). And she’s a University Scholar (GWA of higher than 1.50)! Noemi, on the other hand, was a little dismayed of her grade in Social Sciences II too (1.75). If she got a 1.50, she could be a University Scholar too (Her GWA is 1.50). Arvin, meanwhile, is disappointed with his grade is Natural Sciences IV (1.75). He did well in departmental exams but not that well in the research project. Rish and I have the same disappointment–OrCom! Wugh.

Recognition

My friends did great this semester. I, Rish and Noemi are College Scholars while Alvina, Arvin and Leah are University Scholars. We also believe that Patrick, Cielo and Wynne could be College Scholars too.

The Little Celebration

In a cast of the randomness spell, we went to MOA. Alvina treated us to Chocolat. Our order consisted of the following yummy cakes: Chocolate Caramel Cake (Alps), Chocolate Carrot Cake (Noemi), NY Cheesecake (Alvina), Kahlua Chocolate Cake (Rish) and Death by Tablea Cake (Arvin). Über good! They wanted to watch a movie but I need to go early. And, hey, they did not watch! And they said it’s because of me! Haha.

    Wow! I’m so glad everyone’s doing well in school! Everyone seems to be a either a US/CS! Congrats to you guys!!!! Waah I super miss block 9. Btw, Alps, my tattoo was worth 2k. Yup, it’s personalized but it doesn’t really mean that personalized tattoos are more expensive. The price depends on the size of the tattoo and whether it’s colored or black and white. I never thought you’d be interested in getting inked. Hehe.

    About the tattoo, thanks for the information! I also want one soon! Hahaha. Yep, actually I am not that interested in getting inked. But it’s kinda kewl. Haha. It sounds great when you “carry” something with you anywhere you go (that describes you in one way or another). Oh yes, I’m talking about tattoos. Haha.
