Much Madness is Divinest Sense
Emily Dickinson
Much madness is divinest sense
To a discerning eye;
Much sense the starkest madness.
‘Tis the majority
In this, as all, prevails
Assent, and you are sane;
Demur–you’re straightway dangerous
And handled with a chain

I would be leaving for Baguio City tomorrow for the 9th National Debating Championships. Ugh, I don’t know what to expect but I need to be in a debate mode on the 22nd–the first round of the tournament. We need to have much madness to achieve the divinest sense. Oh well, five days of clash of persuasive powers. I do good in persuading other people but I am weak in persuading myself. Issues, eat me.

The Hound
Robert Francis
Life the hound
Equivocal
Comes at a bound
Either to rend me
Or to befriend me.
I cannot tell
The hound’s intent
‘Till he has sprung
At my bare hand
With teeth or tongue
Meanwhile I stand
And wait the event.

I do have issues but sometimes, I don’t know how to classify them (petty or major) or even how to evaluate them (are they issues in the first place?). I just wait and see where this would bring me.
